Assist : To assist someone in fight (Attack the same person as him)
Ie : assist Toto
Backstab : A nasty trick to do to someone. Need the backstab skill.
Bash : Will try to bash someone and send him rolling on the floor.
Need the bash skill.
Breath : To use a breath weapon. Need a potion.
Disarm : Try to disarm his opponment in a fight. Need the disarm
skill.
Feign death : A monk skill so that the mobs won't be interested in you.
First aid : A monk skill to regain some hp. Can be used once in 24H
Hit : To hit and attack someone. You can hit yourself to become
visible again after a spell of invisbility.
Kick : Try to kick someone to make him breathless.
Need the kick skill.
Kill : To attack someone (or something). Ie : kill cat
Possess : Command to possess a mob when you are a ghost.
See : HELP GHOST
Protect : Toggle on/off the protect mode. When in protect you will try
to take the attack of mobs on you before your friends can be
attacked. Need the protect skill.
Quivering palm : A special monk attack that try to kill the victim in one blow
Rescue : Try to rescue someone and take his place in a fight.
Need the rescue skill.
Shoot : To shoot an arrow at a victim. You need to wield the arrow
and hold the bow. Ie : shoot guard
Wimpy : Fix a limit in hit points. If you go bellow this limit
the game will try to make you flee automoaticaly.
Ie : wimpy 10 (flee bellow 10 hit point).
Ask : To ask something to someone (much like whisper). Ie
ask valik Rhyodin (To begin a well know Quest)
Beep : Send a beep to someone. Useful to get his attention.
Order : To give an order to someone. Ie :
order guard say 'hello'
order follower kill cat (Order to all your followers to kill this
bloody cat who is annoying you )
Say : To say something to everyone in the room. Ie : say hello folk!
Shout : To shout something to everybody in the world. Don't abuse it
or the gods may well remove your ability to shout.
You can't shout before level 2.
Ie : shout Can someone summon me ? Hurry ! (A common shout...)
Sign : To say something by using the sign language. Used in the same
way as say. Useful when you can't speak. You must know
the sign skill. Ie :
sign hello folk.
Tell : To tell something to someone, wherever he is in the world. Ie :
tell aldur are you here ? (to ask a silly question to Aldur)
Emote : To send any message in the room (it will always begin by
your name. Ie :
emote gives you 400000000 coins. ( and the people in the room
will get : 'toto gives you 400000000 coins.' if you name is toto)
' : A shortcut for say.
, : A shortcut for emote (Same as : ).
Whisper : To whisper something to someone (much like tell but only in room)
Gtell : To tell something to the all players grouped with you.
Allspells : A list of all the spells and skills in the game.
Attribute : To get info about yourself. At level 11 you will be able
to know your stats.
Consider : To get some info on how strong is a mob. If you learned
the right Lore skill, you will get much more information
and it will be much more reliable. Ie :
consider dragon (Are you mad ?!?)
Credits : To get some info on who worked on the game in the fist place.
(A long long time ago when this wasn't NEXUS at all...)
Equipment : To get a list of what you have equiped on you and where.
Examine : Examine an item. It will reveal the type of a weapon.
Ie : examine sword
Exits : This command will give a list of all visible exits of the room.
Secret passages won't be shown but you will know if there is
light in this direction and if the room is in the air or
underwater.
Hunt : Try to hunt someone. You must have the spell track active.
Ie : hunt dog
Inventory : To get a list of all items you are carrying in your inventory.
Levels : To get a list of all levels you can reach in a class and of
their title. Ie :
level m (for mage) (also : c cleric, w warrior, t thief,
d druid, k monk)
Look : to look at something. Example :
look room (to look at the room)
look north (to look to the north)
look aldur (to look at aldur)
look in bag (to look in a bag)
Map : Display a map of the surronding. Only work outdoor.
Practice : Give a list of all your skills and spells and how many more
time you can practice. To practice something you need to go
in a guild or near some special mobs and type :
practice <name of spell or skill>
Score : To get some information on yourself.
Spy : To look in another room. Need the spy skill
Team : Gives you informations about the all groups actually in the
game.
Time : Get the time of the day. Real and game time.
Track : To get information about who travelled in this room. Ie :
track (will show you the footprints in this room)
track Orcish (will give you all orcish track when entering
a room)
Need the track skill.
War : To see what races are in wars. Use: war, war war, war allied
Mob from a race in war again yours will be aggressive most
of the time...
Weather : To get some info about the weather. (only outdoor)
Where : To get a list of people in the same area as you and where
they are. You can also do : where <people>.
Who : This will give a list of all visible (to you) people in the
game.
Whois : Give information about a player (even if not loged on). Ie :
whois aldur
Whozone : To get a list of players in the same area.
Wizlist : To get a list of all the Gods in the game.
World : Give lot of info about the world, important players and items,
special events...
Cast : To cast a spell. The name of the spell must always be
between ''. Ie :
cast 'magic missil' dog
Memorize : To memorize a spell. Ie : memorize 'magic missil'
You must be resting to memorize a spell and only first
classed magic-using people can do it.
Recall : To recall a memorized spell. It won't cost any mana
and the spell won't have any casting time.
To use it :
recall (to get a list of memorized spells)
recall attack (to recall the attack type spell)
recall defense (to recall the defense type spell)
recall other (to recall the other type spell)
North, south, west, east, up and down : To move in one direction.
Climb : A skill that can help you take some exit... Ie :
climb up
Dismount : To dismount from a beast.
Doorbash : Try to break through a door. Ie : doorbash north
Need the doorbash skill
Enter : To enter an inside room (not much used). This command
is most used to enter a magical portal (enter portal)
or enter an astral pool (enter pool)
Flee : To flee from a fight. (don't wait too long. It doesn't always
work the first time.) You will lost some xp.
Follow : To follow someone. (That's the first step in forming a group)
Group : To group someone that is following you. You can only
to this if you are the leader of the group (you are following
no one yourself). Only grouped people share the xp after
a fight.
Hide : Try to hide. Need the hide skill. Just type hide. If
succesfull you will be hidden till you type another command.
Mount : To mount (ride) a beast. The skill ride may be useful. Ie :
mount horse
Rest : To rest. (you will regain move,hp and mana faster)
Return : To return to your original form if you are polymorphed or
possessing a mob.
Ride : See mount.
Sit : To sit down.
Sleep : To sleep (fastest way to regain move, hp and mana)
Sneak : Try to sneak silenty. Need the sneak skills. Just type : sneak
Stand : To stand up.
Swim : Try to swim. Need the swim skill.
Wake : To wake up (will put you in the sitting position)
You can wake someone with this command.
Buy : To buy an item in a shop. Ie : buy long sword
Close : To close a door or a countainer. Ie : close metaldoor
Drink : To drink something. Example :
drink water
drink fountain
drink water skin (to drink water from a skin)
Drop : To drop an item. Ie : drop sword (see get)
Eat : To eat something. Example : eat bread
Fill : Fill a liquid container with something. Ie :
fill skin water
Get : To get an item that you can reach. You can use for exemple :
get sword (to get a sword in the room)
get 3.sword (to get the third sword in the room)
get 3*sword (to get three swords from the room)
get sword bag (to get a sword from a bag)
...
Give : To give something to someone. Ie : give bottle drunk
Grap : To grab an item in your hands. Ie : grab torch
Hold : To hold something in your hands. Ie : hold bag
Junk : Destory an item permanantly to clean the game. You will
be rewarded (barly).
List : To get a list of all items for sale in a shop.
Lock : To lock a door or countainer. Ie : lock chest (will need a key)
Offer : To know how much it will cost you to rent in a reception.
Open : To open a door or a closed countainer. Ie : open gate
Pick : Try to pick a lock. Need the picklock skill. Ie : pick door
Pour : To empty a drink countainer. Ie : pour barrel out
Put : Put an item in another one. Ie : put bread sack
Quaff : To quaff a potion.
Read : To read something. Ie : read book
Recite : To recite a scroll. Ie : recite recall (often your last hope...)
Remove : Remove an item from yourself and put it in your inventory. Ie :
remove shield
remove all
Rent : To rent in a reception and save your items. Will cost you some
gold. (To know how much, try offer in the reception)
Sell : To sell an item in a shop. Ie : sell diamond
Sip : To sip a little from liquid to know if it's poisonus. Won't bad has
bad as if you drinked it. Ie : sip potion
Steal : Try to steal something from someone. Need the steal skill.
You can only steal what is in the inventory of someone.
Take : See get.
Taste : To taste from something that can be eat to know if it's poisonous.
Won't be as bad as if you eated it. Ie :
taste mushroom (we never know...)
Unlock : Unlock a door or countainer. Need a key. Ie : unlock door
Use : To use an item. Mostly staff or wand but can be used on
special items too. (Ie : the one needed to leave a plane)
Ie : use wand.
Value : To get the value of an item in a shop. Ie : value bread (not much)
Wear : To wear something that is in your inventory. You can only use
this command for items that fit you your body (for weapons, it's
wield and for a light source, it's hold or grab)
Example :
wear cap
wear all (will try to "wear a max of items, including weapons
and light).
Wield : to wield a weapon. Example : wield sword
Write : To write on someting. Need something to write and some paper.
Those commands don't have any effect on the game. They are used for
role-playing. If you are a newbie, you don't need to realy know that,
you can always come here later to look at them.

love, moan, nibble, nod, nudge, pat, peer, point, poke, ponder, pout,
puke, punch, purr, ruffle, scream, shake, shiver, shrug, sigh, sing,
slap, smirk, smile, snap, snarl, sneeze, snicker, sniff, snore,
snuggle, spank, spit, squeeze, stare, steam, strut, sulk, tackle,
taunt, thank, twiddle, wave, whine, whistle, wiggle, wink, worship
(not all of these work)
New social :
bathe, bitenail, duck, flick, highfive, howl, hush, itch, jackpot,
pant, part, peek, picknose, pucker, pimp, promise, propose,
respect, rub, scam, signal, spank, sneeze, starve, strangle, strip,
stroke, sweat, tackle, tap, tie, toast, waddle, whip
Alias : To see and create new alias of commands. Ie :
alias (show all the defined alias)
alias gb get all bread (define a command gb that does :
get all bread)
alias flee recite recall (very useful if you have a scroll
of recall. Will make use it instead of
fleeing).

Brief : Toggle on/off the brief mode. Less text, reduce the network
charge. (A good things to do if there is lot of lag.)
Bug : Send something to the bug file. Much like idee. If it's
important, you better have to let a message on a board or
talk directly with Aldur or another level 58+ god.
Color : Toggle color mode on/off. If you are not using display 1 or 2 or
if your terminal don't support it, don't use it as it slow your
display.

Compact : Another way to get less text and less charge on the network.

Copy : Copy a message from a board to your editing buffer.
Ie : copy 23 (copy message 23 to buffer)
Deafen : If you don't want to hear all those shout anymore.
Disguise : A skill used to disguise himself
Display : Activate or desactivate the Semi-graphic prompt.
Display 0 : desactivate
Display 1 : prompt with normal char
Display 2 : prompt with graphic char set.

Echo : Turn on/off the echo of the command you typed.
Gain : To gain a level in a guild if you have enough xp. You may
have to do a quest first and give the right item to your
guild master.
If you go in a guild that isn't yours and type gain, you will
become multi-classed in this guild. ( You can have a maximum
of three classes)
Idee : To send something to the idee file. I may read it but if it's
important you better have to put it on a board.
Ie : idee why not read this damn idee file once in a while ?
Incognito : Will hide your title so people won't guess your level
and classes.
Help : To get help on all king of subjects. Type : 'help help'
to get more info on it.
Mail : To read, delete and send mail to someone. Ie :
mail (list all mail)
mail 2 (read mail 2)
mail del 2 (delete mail 2)
mail aldur hello (send a mail to aldur with title hello. You must
first write the mail in the text editor : /edit )

Paste : Paste your text buffer to a board. Ie :
paste Another message ( will create a new message on the board
with the title : Another message and will put in it your
text-buffer).
Quit : To quit the game. Your character will be saved and will reenter
the game at the same place but all your equipement will fall
on the ground.
To keep your equipement you need to go in a reception and type
rent but it will cost you some (much) gold.
Resize : Change the size for the pager and display. You need to use this
of your terminal don't use the standard 24 lines mode.
SEE : HELP DISPLAY
Save : To save your character. The game does some auto-save every 10 mins
or so and every time you get or drop an item. But you may want
to do some yourself anyway.
Split : Allows you to split the coins given as parameter between the
characters grouped with you (the present characters)
Title : To change your title. Only from level 35.
Typo : A little like the idee command except that it's send to the typo
file with the room number where you are. ( And i read this file
more often).
Ie : typo it's sea and not see in this room :)
Unalias : To remove an alias.
Vis : To become visible again.
/ : Generic Text editor command. Use : /h or /? for more info.

/edit : To write text in your text-buffer

! : History. List of the last command used. Ie :
!? (give the list of the last 20 commands)
! (reuse the last command)
!9 (reuse command number 9)
!cas (reuse last command begining by cas)
